Show Me, Show Me, Show Me How You Do That Trick

by Sheila on July 19, 2012

I used to take Friday’s as my “Artist Day.” I can’t do that any longer – at least for the time being…

So, I thought, “How might I be where I am tomorrow and invoke some of my Artist”? I thought this song might inspire me. Because it might take a bit of “magic.” Or, maybe not?

I have been engaged in some work that is very much out of my realm and comfort zone. In some ways, I like the idea that I am here…in this. I want to see what I am made of in a different sort of way. And I want to see how I can allow myself to be fully engaged and excited and joyful about what is before me now.

How might I truly see the beauty in my moment-to-moment life? How will my Artist respond with ease and grace and love?

When I sit in this space, I feel such an expansion of possibility and such energy! And I know with certainty that the only response to waking each day is to say, “Thank You!”

The Olympics are starting soon and I’m very excited. I love how we feel our own desire and potential when watching the athletes. We feel what is in us – just like them – we feel our shared humanity.

Run around the block – because you can…  This will be the start of my Artist Day tomorrow – a bit of Warrior Dash training! The WD is going to be my Olympics!

Enjoy the song/video. Click here if email won’t play it!

Sounds like your Friday has already begun, Sheila! I love that you are not giving up your artist’s date, rather taking your artist with you to inform you no matter what you are doing and where. How will you artist respond with ease, grace and love? Inquiring minds want to know…keep us posted. – Kathy

Great post Sheila…. What a great way to look at each day…being fully engaged, excited and joyful and seeing beauty throughout the day. I need to start practicing that more myself. Glad to see that even out of your comfort zone, you are looking at it as a challenge.
Your writing is inspiring in itself and written so beautifully. You do an amazing job of putting your feelings into words…. I’m also looking forward to the Olympics and I loved your description of “we feel our shared humanity.”
Anyway… Loved this one…and the music!
See you soon!
